Gender and Race Inequality: How Laws, Politics, and Culture Disproportionately Affect Women of Color
As part of our ongoing monthly luncheon series, Lawyers Club's Diverse Women's Committee presented the program, Gender and Race Inequality: How Laws, Politics, and Culture Disproportionately Affect Women of Color, on October 20, 2016, at the U.S. Grant.
The panel, moderated by Juanita Brooks, principal at Fish & Richardson, featured distinguished panelists California Assembly Member Dr. Shirley Weber; Kyra Green, Deputy Director at the Center on Policy Initiatives; and attorney Lei-Chala Wilson. The discussion centered around the intersection of gender and racial inequality in the legal justice system, and steps for change.
