At the May 8, 2014 Annual Dinner, we presented the Community Service Award to Jodi Cleesattle.

2014 Jodi Cleesattle

Jodi Cleesattle is a deputy attorney general in the California Department of Justice's Civil Division, in the Employment and Administrative Mandate section. Jodi volunteers extensively in the legal and the broader community. She is co-chair of the State Bar of California's Council of State Bar Sections, and is the immediate past chair of the Public Law Section. She also served as editor of the Public Law Journal for two years, drawing from her past experience as a daily newspaper reporter and as editor and co-founder of The National Jurist, a magazine for law students.

Jodi is active in Lawyers Club, currently as Press Liaison, and previously as a board member, co-chair of the Leadership Development Committee, and editor of Lawyers Club News. Jodi volunteers with and serves as vice president of the Juvenile Court Book Club, and with ACLU's Constitution Day. She is active with Kensington Community Church, where she participates in community service projects at Rachel's House. She is a volunteer with Second Chance Dog Rescue.
