Equality Survey

Lawyers Club’s Equality Survey is a critical initiative that helps monitor our mission to advance the status of women in the law and society here in San Diego County. The Equality Survey has created visibility surrounding the unequal representation of women and minority groups in the legal profession and provides information to empower members of the legal profession to take action against gender discrimination. In 2018 we conducted a survey of our members, the results of which are still being analyzed. Below are the publications associated with the 2016 Equality Survey.

The Survey is conducted under the The Equality and Action Committee, which addresses various issues related to gender bias and barriers to advancement in the San Diego legal community. The committee conducts the Annual Equality Survey of San Diego public agencies and private sector law firms to assess the status of women in the legal profession in San Diego, organizes the Annual Equal Pay Day luncheon to highlight and address pay equity, and promotes gender equity through programming and supporting similar efforts in the greater San Diego community.
